I think the title pretty much says it all.  Anyone know how to select a row for example and subtract a month from every field?  Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Free Desktop Support!  Although I'm not sure of what version you're running, you can do this by enabling the Analysis Tookpak add-in within Excel.  The steps to enable the add-in are below:

On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.

In the Add-Ins available box, select the check box next to Analysis Toolpak, and then click OK.

(Tip   If Analysis Toolpak is not listed, click Browse to locate it.)

If you see a message that tells you the Analysis Toolpak is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.

Next what you'll want to do is add a row beneath the one you want to modify. In the new row  (I'm using A1 and B1 in this example), type the following into B1 to subtract a month from A1 field.     '=EDATE(A1,-1)'  Then press Enter.  Do not use the single quotes.  You should now see the field B1 shows one month less than A1 above.  What you'll want to do now is copy the field you just made with the formula.  Next, select the entire row you just inserted (which includes the formula column) and then paste (ctrl-v).  The entire row should now show a month previous to the one which is above it.  At this point you could delete the original row.

Please let us know if you run into any issues with these steps!
